Hmm. Have not yet updated my layout. Well, tough cookies, my friends. I know the contact link and the link to my basic homepage are gone, but you will just have to like it or lump it. Right now I am listening to the dynamic Son Seals, and it is very good. Son Seals Live- Spontaneous Combustion, is in my opinion a modern classic. My fave song is Your Love is Like a Cancer. Yes, I can identify.
I've been thinking about picking up Norah Jones's album. Probably will tomorrow, when I go buy LotR DVD. Last night I watched Harry Potter again, and I was longing for a director's commentary feature. I've really become interested in those lately, ever since I listened to two particularly useful (technique-wise) commentaries: Brian Singer's commentary on the new The Usual Suspects DVD, and Stephen Soderbergh on The Limey. I also listened to the commentary on the last volume of Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles, which gave me a lot of insight on how CGI work is done.
Naturally, this is all coming full circle to my recurring film fixation. I still harbor dreams of filming a low/no-budget film. Maybe it can happen when I've retired. First, though, I need a career to retire from.
In other news, PJ O'Rouke is still a damn funny writer. William Manchester's two volumes on Churchill are still the most readable of the major Churchill biographies, and Johnny Cash is scary good. I am finishing up my security application for the FBI. And I am looking for a job.
