It's been even longer, but I've been a little busy at work. Nothing too exciting, though.

Tomorrow is the big day. That's right, my nizzles. It's BLADE 2 [RETURN OF THE OVERBITE] or whatever they want to call it. Dig that Wesley Snipes action. Can't wait for Blade 3, which is looking to be real cool (the info is out there). Guillermo Del Toro is a great director, so I have really high hopes for the movie. Also, I heard that the writer has a Ghost Rider script up, set to be directed by Del Toro, so hang on to your hats!

X-Men 2 is a year away or so, The Two Towers in December. I still haven't seen Harry Potter, and I'm glad, although I think the books are pretty good. Meanwhile, I'm reading books and playing computer games like mad. I urge everyone here to take a minute or two and go to www.popcap.com for some fun and easy online games. Addictive as heck. Panic Room looks like a heck of a flick, and you can be I'll be in there to see it. Fincher needs to up his production schedule or something. Besides him and Singer, there really isn't any young American director worth a damn out there.

On a more personal note, I'm in the tire market. I've got it down to Michelin XGTh4s or Eagle GAs (which my uncle recommends- he and I have basically the same car). I think I prefer the Michelins- a great ride and fantastic handling (I've had them before). Most of my tax refund is going to tires and car insurance (which got adjusted up, thanks to State Farm rate changes). I've also been thinking about not getting new tires; every time I get a new set of tires, my car gets destroyed within a few months. A year ago last month, I lost the Blue Bomber, a 1988 Chrysler New Yorker with 278,568 miles to a massive oil hemorrhage on I-55 as I was on my way to the Memphis airport to pick up a lecturer. I had just replaced the tires two months before.

My next car, a 1995 Chrysler Concorde (ROCKED!) had those Michelins on it (great tires) and they were basically racing slicks by the time I was headed to Michigan in October, so I replaced them around Oct. 17, 2001 with nice Toyo tires that gave a great ride and had good handling. On Halloween I'm driving to my parents house, my car full of stuff, when out of the frickin' median a young male deer hops into the freeway. I hit the thing going around 70 mph; both airbags deployed, and I was okay, but the car was screwed. The tires had maybe 600 miles on them.

Notice, the acceleration. First time I got new tires- 2 months. Second time, with a newer car- two weeks. Next time, will it be two days? I hope to God no.
